NASCAR Cup Move: I'm looking forward to new driver combo of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski at Penske Racing in 2013 and beyond.

Earlier today, on the same day JGR announced that Matt Kenseth would be driving the #20 Home Depot/Dollar General Toyota Camry in 2013 and beyond.

Penske Racing announced that Joey Logano has sign a multi-year deal to drive the #22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion in 2013 and beyond.

Personally while the pairing of Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth at Joe Gibbs Racing will be an interesting one to watch for sure. I believe the pairing of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano at Penske Racing will be a good driver combo especially for Joey Logano. Brad Keselowski has already proven that the #2 Miller Lite Penske Racing Dodge is a championship contending team and with the addition of Joey Logano in the #22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford, I believe the #22 will return to victory lane in 2013.

However I'm not so sure that Penske Racing is just sticking with a two-car team for 2013 as Sam Hornish Jr. has begun to show signs of improvement not only driving the #12 in the Nationwide Series and contending for a championship, but as well in the #22 after taking over for AJ Allendinger earlier this season at Daytona in July.

I see Penske Racing adding a part-time third Cup Series team for Hornish Jr. in 2013 pending of course on sponsorship. But I still believe he needs another season in Nationwide before making the jump back to the Cup Series.
