Well in answer to the question in the title, I would say that even though Brad Keselowski currently has the momentum and the point lead. I would actually have to say that 5-time Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson and the #48 team currently has the advantage due to his experience, number of victories at three of four remaining racetracks and the fact that Johnson is the hunter and not the huntie. But ask me again two days before Homestead, I might have a different answer.
That said though, while I respect what Jimmie Johnson has done including 5x Champ, I would like to see a new Cup Series Champion this year and I would like to see Keselowski grab the title this year and give Penske and Dodge a title.
But consider this, if Clint Bowyer were to climb up from -25 points out and take the title, it would be a mixed bag for me as seeing Bowyer and MWR win the title would be cool.
But on the flip side, I'm not a fan of Toyota to say the least and in seeing Toyota win the title, that would be terrible. Of course if VW, Audi or another manufacturer came into the sport and won the title, I would be OK with that. Yeah that means seeing a foreign manufacturer win the title in NASCAR would be fine in my eyes.
